A 3DS re-release seems a little iffy, not only because the game is already on the 3DS, but also because most of the biggest 3DS franchises have already jumped ship toward the more robust Switch hardware. But the Nintendo Switch is on pace to take over.
Until we hear proper word from Nintendo, however, all such thoughts are mere speculation. The Switch sold 10 million units in only 9 months and it exceeded Nintendo’s expectations by a lot.
The Switch previously set a Nintendo record for fastest-selling console during its first two days on the market. Well, we just heard that Japan isn’t the only country that Nintendo Switch has been doing very well in.
Although The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a Nintendo Selects title for the European market, so it is not for the United States, and the request for quotations could mean an imminent entry of the title into the catalog of discounted Nintendo games.
The Nintendo Switch has become the fastest-selling home console in the history of home console sales in the US, Nintendo has announced. “The home console that players can take wherever they go launched March 3, 2017, and in 10 months has sold more than 4.8 million units in the United States” According to Nintendo that makes it the fastest selling console in the U.S. ever. Currently, only Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda have made their way on to the Switch, so Nintendo should use 2018 to get a few more on the console. Both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey were strong contenders for Game of the Year.
